”You better know the words you’re going to say, you’re never going to get a second take” — Skywriter
I’m here to address the burning question: “Gin, where can I find updates about your travels?”
The quick answer, right now, is my ➡ “Horseback Riding Across America” ⬅ gallery.
I have uploaded photos from the journey so far there! 😀
All my photos are dated and some are captioned. The captioning is a work in progress, but one I’m confident I’ll finish shortly!
I also added a new feature to my website called a light box, which allows you to scroll through photos for easy viewing if you click on one.
I also recently updated my Gear List with fun new photos.

So, that’s the short answer.
The long answer?
I don’t have a written account of my time traveling in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska ……. yet.
It’s on the agenda! Not only do I want to update my Blog but my Facebook, too. You can rest assured that every day I don’t, the need to do so haunts me like a still-beating heart under the floorboards. Same goes for if you email or message me. I’ll spend triple the time thinking about it as it would take me to actually respond. 🤣 As the saying goes: my mom didn’t raise a quitter, she raised a procrastinator!
Below is a photo of me fleeing from my responsibilities!

Wish I was closer that I could help in the search for Finley. Keep your head up and persevere.
Just curious if you know where they captured Finley? Could he have been born and raised in this area?
Hi Don, thank you for the well wishes. It is great to hear from you. 🙂 Finley is from a place called “Palomino Butte Herd Management Area” which is just south of Burns, Oregon.
Yay Gin and Finley! So glad you added this for comments and questions until your blog is caught up! Still rejoicing over the happy ending of the drama that unfolded at Wind Cave National Park! The pictures of you together in the pasture at the end of the ordeal and an extraordinary day tells it all! Love you and Finley and can’t wait to follow the rest of your adventure together.
I was so so excited to hear that Finley was found and is healthy and so happy to be back with you! A real answer to prayer and I know many many many people were praying. Rejoicing with you, Gin, and I look forward to hearing more about your travels!
PS I am a friend of your grandmother Sheryl in Pennsylvania
Hi Pat 😀 Wonderful to make your acquaintance. Finley’s now lounging out to pasture for a week or two, recuperating. The most excitement he’s getting these days is when his grain comes twice a day. Thank you so much for the prayers while he was lost!! It meant the world.
Gin:
it was so good to meet you. I was reading some of the comments and I realized that Finley was the horse that was missing over in the Black Hills. I was so happy when you two were reunited.
Safe travels.
It was cool meeting you both here in idaho, if you need anything while in our area reach out to us on messenger. Safe travels and lots of water. It gets very deserty and hot for a ways
Hi Gin,
Curious, how often does someone accompany you on your ride.
